| Miskowiak takes on new challanges with UWSP GIS Center |

This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it recently took on a new set of challenges as a GIS Education Specialist at the UW-Stevens Point GIS Center. In this new role, he will be teaching a GIS fundamentals course, conducting GIS research, and developing a Professional GIS Certificate Program. The new GIS Center is housed in the Department of Geography/Geology in the College of Letters and Sciences at UWSP. The Center looks to fill the demand for a growing Geospatial workforce by providing GIS education/training for traditional and non-traditional students. Doug was formerly with the UWSP Center for Land Use Education for about 6-years as an Outreach Specialist. He conducted land use and GIS education/research state-wide. While there he worked with local Wisconsin communities fostering GIS for innovative decision-making, public participation, plan development, implementation, and monitoring. |
